Cold morning: heated seat and wheel the moment you sit down
Below 40°F (4°C), sitting in the driver’s seat turns on seat heat and the heated steering wheel.

43 ready-to-build rules for the new in-car Automations feature. Each one shows what triggers it, what it does, and exactly where to tap — so you are not staring at a blank editor on launch day.
Example: Child Mode: lock the rear doors and windows by voice
Below 40°F (4°C), sitting in the driver’s seat turns on seat heat and the heated steering wheel.
Say “Snow mode” for Chill acceleration, wiper heat, and front and rear defrost together.
Arrive home with the battery under 40% and the car reminds you to plug in.
Shift into Park with a second-row seat occupied and the car reminds you out loud to check the back.
Leave your saved Work location and navigation home starts with your wind-down playlist.
Parked with your hands full? Say “Loading mode” and both trunks open.
If the outside air-quality reading gets poor, the car switches to recirculate and tells you why.
Open the driver’s door while a phone is still on the wireless pad and the car reminds you to take it.

Automations is an in-car feature that runs actions on its own when something happens. You pick a trigger (like sitting down, arriving home or a voice phrase), optional conditions (like outside temperature), and one or more actions (like seat heat or a playlist). It works much like Shortcuts automations on an iPhone.
It launched in China in early 2026. An English version has been found finished but switched off in current firmware, and several outlets expect it in Tesla’s December holiday update. Tesla has not confirmed a date. Our release date tracker keeps the latest status.
